This is a half day excursion that will take us to visit one of Mallorca’s treasured places, the town of Valldemossa. The excursion includes free time to explore Valldemossa.
The road to Valldemossa is through stunning scenery with great views of the valley, the mountain area and of Valldemossa. Our guide will explain you some important facts and information about the town. The origins of Valldemossa are said to be from prehistoric times and Valldemossa has always been a famous and favourite spot in Mallorca - Frederic Chopin and George Sand came to live in the town.
Valldemossa is the highest town of Mallorca. You will have free time in Valldemossa because there is much to see including museums, churches, plenty of places to have a cool drink or eat a meal or you can just amble around looking at the wonderful views.
After that the coach will take us back to the resort.
Valldemossa day trip reviews
Valldemossa is probably the most beautiful place I've visited. But the excursion let us down. I chose half day not full so it wasnt too much for my teen son travelling in really high summer temperatures. First we were given 2 different locations for pick up so I had to check with lemon where we should be. Next on pick up the guide wouldn't let us on the coach with my confirmation email. It showed order reference number & a barcode to scan. She didn't have a way to scan. Told me she needed something showing my name. Luckily I'd kept the window open on my phone from when I'd paid for the trip. Was feeling other passengers were annoyed with this hold up and I've never been refused entry to any event ever when I've shown a confirmation email until this. Embarrassed we sat. From our resort we then spent the next 2+ hours picking people up. We stopped twice in Palma where some passengers were told to get off for the Caves of Drach. How about put on another coach for separate trips? After all this is a private excursion coach trip we've paid premium prices for- not a public bus! Thankfully the journey home was about an hour. However spending 3+ hours on a coach for a half day trip is not acceptable. It is possible to take a couple of public buses to Valdemossa from our resort & if I had the good fortune to have a chance to visit Valldemossa again I'd do that at a fraction of the cost of this. Once there the guide kept telling us about Chopin and Michael Douglas. Respectfully this didn't interest us really. She guided us to a shop where we were given a potato bun which was delicious. I adored Valldemossa. I'd wanted to see here- its like a slice of the Mallorca you think you'll see from postcards but generally don't see in the resorts.

Great time out thanks to this excursion. Valldemosa surprised us a lot with so stunning views. During free time we found also awesome local cork shop, with almost everything what you can imagine as bags, shoes and a lot of travel and not only accessories. Highly recommended the morning tour, you can have a time for lunch in the restaurant with beautiful lanscape of Tramuntana Mountains.
Our family was really satisfied with this excursion to Valldemosa on our stay in Palma de Mallorca. Very nice place to see, charming streets with beautiful flowers decorations are amazing. Our local guide was also very good, polite and ansered all our questions about the Valldemosa and the island. We will book this trip for sure if we are back on Mallorca.
